SCHOOL HISTORY

Marybong High School is located at Marybong Tea Garden nearly 9 k.m.away from Ghoom Bhangyang , towards Bijanbari.The School was established in the year 1985 with the help of local people from Tumsong T.E. and Khasmahal, Pembong,Lingia, Marybong and Salu Division. The local people through economically poor and educationally backward felt the need of a Junior High School and came forward to accomplish this goal unitedly. It is said that - ''Unity is Strength'.The goal was achieved after putting a tremendous effort and the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education accorded recognition as a Junior High School upto class VIII in the year 1989.Shri. Tamang Dawa Lama(Hon'ble Hill Affairs Minister at the same time) played a praiseworthy role for its recognition. His dedicated work shall always be remembered by us.

     Now, the school is upgraded to the High School since dated: 01-01-2012 by the W.B. Board of Seconday Education.

      We the teachers and the students hope and are grateful to all the parents, local residents and the intellectuals for their tremendous support for the allround development of Marybong High School.
