
Dewniapara Primary School is on the doorstep of Fifty Years of excellence. The school started its journey in 1972 with the help of some social activist viz. Sri Harimohan Roy, Sri Kendala Roy, Sri Kheermohan Roy etc. Being a pioneer, Sri Harimohan Roy donated some parts of his land, measuring 1.32 acre and took the initiative to build up a school there. With a great effort of local people, the school was built in the centre of the village, Dewnia Para. On 22 nd December, 1972, it got the Govt. approval. Respected Sri Koishorkanti Ghosh took the charge of the school and Sri Motilal Roy was appointed as Assistant Teacher. Initially the school was running with a single room and 70 children. Later on, the school building was developed and extended and got a moderate look to begin new-age education system with all the basic amenities.
