
Dewniapara Primary School is situated in Barapatia Gram Panchayat, Jalpaiguri, almost 15 km away from the town. The school is run by The Department of Education, W.B. Govt. and monitored by Village Education Committee. It is situated on the lap of the Mother Nature, amidst true rural environment. It was built in over 1.3 acres area. The school campus is surrounded by lush greeneries and beautiful tea gardens having a large playground. It is a Bengali medium co-ed school up to class-IV. At present, the school compound has 3 class-rooms, a single staff-room and a kitchen for running MDM scheme with a latrine and 2 urinals, each for girls and boys. The rooms are without roof and the campus does not have a boundary yet. Hand pump is the only source of drinking water. An Anganwari Centre is also situated in the campus. There is a small library into the staff room comprises of more than 100 books, covering almost all domains to boost up the young minds. For scholastic and co-scholastic activities, there is a plenty of teaching-learning materials, art & craft materials and playing equipment. All the enlisted celebrations as well as various events are organized throughout the year. Though there is a scope for further development of infrastructure, the school campus indeed is ideal for the students to get nourished.
