History

Brief History of School

The school was established prior to 1890 with the name Middle English School. Then in 1890 the school was recognised as High English School and this year is treated as a foundation year of this school. The statusco was maintained up to 1969. Subsequently the school was recognised as Mekhliganj High School in 1969. Finally the school was recognised as a higher secondary school in 1976 and  the school was named as Mekhliganj H.S. School.
