
Khayerbari Balihara High School (10+2 Co-Ed) was established in 1950 by a group of some local enlightened persons at Balihara under Banshihari North Circle in Saiyedpur G.P in the district of Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal with a view to spreading the light of education among the people living from hand to mouth.This noble mission was initiated by Abul Kalam, Jer Mohammad, Jamiruddin Ahmad, Naziruddin Ahmad, Abdur Rouf, Tofeluddin Ahmad, Safeluddin Ahmad, Mahtabuddin Ahmad, Moulavi Aziz Mian, Sabur Mohammad, Rashmohan Sarkar and many others.These pioneers collected donations from local people going door to door and established it on the land of Abul Kalam and Jer Mohammad.The local Muslims even came forward with their Zakat (poor due) and Osr ( one tenth of crops) for this noble cause.
It started its journey with 2 class Jr. High School and subsequently upgraded to 4 class Jr. High School in 1968 and 10 class High School in 1973 under W.B.B.S.Edn and 12 class H.S School in 2003 recognised by W.B.C.H.S Edn.
