History

G.B. S. High Madrasah was established on 2nd January 1971 as a Jr. Madarsah (Class- V to VIII) under the West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education. In the year 1992 it was upgraded as High Madarsah (Class-V to X). The Madrasah had started with five class room and a small office room. It is a history that the many crest fan donated their valuable land to established the Madrasah beside the road to enlighten the future of the poor villagers who were far away from the education. This was the history making step to established such kind of a Madrasah in the remote village. 

in the session 2006-2007 it was upgraded as a Higher Secondary Madrasah under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. The Madarsah started Arts stream with BNGA, ENGB, HIST, PHIL and POLS subjects. after that GEGR, NUTN, COMA, COMS, ARBC subjects were introduced in Arts Stream.

In the session 2011-2012 Science Stream was introduced with BIOS, CHEM, PHYS and MATH subjects. In the current academic session 2024-2025 new subject APAI is introduced in Arts stream.
