History

Goas Kalikapur High School was set up on 2nd January in 1970 when the surrounding areas was badly in need of an educational institution. Some noble men from all over the surrounding areas came forward to satisfy this need. Late Md Wajed Ali Sarkar and Late Shree Binaypada Das led from the front and with the help of some other noble men like Late Md Yunus, Saimuddin Sarkar, Sayeedul Islam, Arsed Ali Sarkar, Bisaratulla Sarkar, Karunakrishna Saha, Bhavaniprasad Saha, Dulal chandra Saha Faimuddin Mondal etc they initiated the process of setting up the most desired institution.

Late Md Wajed Ali Sarkar donated the first 10 katha land and the first structure of the school made of bamboo and tiles was set up in 1970. When in 1974 the school was able to get govt. affiliation, the noble person donated his 1 bigha land again where the present school building is standing. The school began its longer journey. Some other noble men who contributed to the expansion of the school by donating land were Late Md Arsed Ali Sarkar, Late Faimuddin Sarkar, Khorshed Mondal and Late Moksed Ali sarkar. From then on the school has been expanding its branches bit by bit and has now come to the present state like a big tree. It's like a light house of educational activities for the people of the surrounding areas.
