General Rules & Regulations (Applicable to All Students)

  • Arrival Time: Students must enter the school premises by 10.40 a.m. to attend the morning assembly.
  • Attendance: Students failing to secure 75% attendance in an academic session will not be allowed to sit for the annual/board examinations.
  • Leave of Absence: Absenteeism must be noted in the school diary by the guardian. If a student needs to leave early, the guardian must secure prior permission from the school authorities in writing.
  • Code of Conduct: Students are expected to behave in a polite and respectful manner with all teaching and non-teaching staff members.
  • School Property: A student must not cause damage to school property (desks, walls, electrical fittings). Any damage will incur disciplinary action and fines.
  • Personal Belongings: The school cannot be held responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings. Students are advised not to bring large sums of money or expensive items.
  • Mobile Phones: Strict prohibition on bringing mobile phones, smartwatches, or any electronic gadgets to the school premises.
  • Co-curriculars: Students must actively participate in all co-curricular activities, national observations (Republic Day, Independence Day), and school events.
  • Guardian Protocol: Guardians must fix a prior appointment with a teacher through a note in the specified section of the school diary if they wish to meet the concerned teacher.

Upper Primary Section (Classes V to VIII)

  • School Diary: The school diary must be brought to school daily. Parents must check and sign the diary regularly for teacher remarks and homework assignments.
  • Classroom Movement: Students must move in a single line and maintain silence while moving from one classroom to another or to the playground.
  • Prohibited Items: Students must not bring any sharp objects (like paper cutters or steel scissors) unless specifically instructed by a teacher for a craft class.
  • Grooming: Nails must be trimmed, and hair must be neatly tied or cut short according to the school's dress code. Proper, clean school uniforms are mandatory daily.

Mid-Day Meal (PM POSHAN) Program Rules

(Generally applicable for Classes V to VIII)

  • Hygiene First: Students must wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after consuming the meal.
  • Utensils: Students must bring their own clean tiffin boxes/plates and water bottles from home.
  • Order and Discipline: Students must form an orderly queue to receive their food. Pushing or breaking the line is strictly forbidden.
  • Zero Wastage: Students should only take the amount of food they can consume. Wasting food is highly discouraged.
  • Designated Area: Meals must be consumed only in the designated dining area or specific classrooms, as directed by the school, to maintain cleanliness.
  • Respect for Staff: Students must treat the cooking and serving staff with respect and politeness at all times.

Secondary Section (Classes IX & X)

  • Bicycle Parking: Students availing the Sabuj Sathi bicycles must park them systematically in the designated cycle stand and ensure they are locked.
  • Board Preparation: Students must submit all internal formative evaluation projects and assignments strictly within the deadlines set by WBBSE guidelines.
  • Library Use: Students are encouraged to use the library during designated periods but must maintain absolute silence and return issued books on time.
  • Peer Conduct: Bullying, ragging, or using unparliamentary language will lead to immediate suspension and a call to guardians.

Higher Secondary Section: Science (Classes XI & XII)

  • Academic Focus: Students must clear both theoretical and practical internal assessments independently to qualify for the WBCHSE final examinations.
  • Laboratory Rules (Physics, Chemistry, Biology):
    • Safety Gear: Students must wear proper white lab coats/aprons while inside the Chemistry and Biology laboratories.
    • Discipline: Absolute silence and strict discipline must be maintained. No student is allowed to touch any chemicals, specimens, or apparatus without the teacher's instruction.
    • Breakage: Any breakage of glassware or damage to apparatus due to negligence must be compensated by the student.
    • Cleanliness: Workstations must be cleaned, and gas and water taps must be tightly closed before leaving the laboratory.
    • Record Keeping: Laboratory record books must be updated, signed by the teacher regularly, and brought to every practical class.
