History

The school was established in 1971.It is a 10-class co-educational High School in Bolpur-Sriniketan Block in Birbhum District.It was first recognised as a 4-class Junior High School w.e.f.01-01-1983 by WBBSE vide Memo No.S/355 dt.28-10-1983 and then as a 10-class co-educational High School w.e.f.01-05-2000 by WBBSE vide Memo No.S/Recog/2000/795 dt.28-08-2000.The School is situated in a rural and mainly in a tribal area. Most of the students belong to SC&ST and their economic conditions are very poor.MP result is not so good but not so bad. Students remain engaged in various educational and co-educational activities.
