History

History :

It is due to the zealous thinking and sincere dedication of a few education enthusiasts of the locality that the school started its journey in a godown in Nagari village with a handful of students and got its recognition in 1957 as a 4-class and became a secondary school in 1959. The year 1983 saw the school renamed as Nagari Sudhansu Badani Sikshaniketan. Spread across more than two acres land in the lap of nature, the campus consists of four two-storey buildings including well equipped laboratories and a rich library. At present, the school has a roll strength of nearly thousands students who are regularly taught and guided by 32 sincere teachers and five non-teaching staffs. Despite an acute shortage of subject teachers the school continues to fare well in both Madhyamik and Higher Secondary exams every year. There is also a one teacher Vocational course (VIII+) providing training to local youths thereby helping them find livelihood. The school maintains a remarkable track record in the field of games and sports, and cultural activities.   The students and teachers together take part in various social campaigns and awareness programmes.
