The untold sayings ...

India was under British rule. Her people were deprived of education People understood the motive of the British, realized that India will not be free until her people were educated. So necessity of spreading education in all corners of lndia was felt.

It was not an exception to the people of Itagoria, Junidpur ,Bara Alunda. Chhota Alunda was not lagging behind. India became independent People considering nothing for caste and creed or any personal gain, came forward with a single motto-setting up a school. Someone donated land for building someone donated play ground, One donated 11 bighas of paddy land for meeting up expenses of the staff, a villager donated a kiln of bricks a group of people helped with fund. But people who had neither land nor fund, came forward with larger heart gave labour started construction and thus a school -Montaj Maheswar Raman High School- was established in 1949.

Circumstances obliged the management to modify its name . It emerged in the name of Itagoria H.M.H.M. Vidyalaya. In 1978 the school developed from High to Higher Secondary - Itagoria Higher Secondary School. In 1983 compliments showered upon this rural institution when a student ranked third in the HS Exam (1983).
