The foundation of Majigram High School (H.S) is the effective result of the strong will of some hearty well-wishers of Majigram and its surrounding areas towards the end of 1957. The generous land donors extended their help by donating the proposed valuable land on the outskirts of the village. Though its started its journey on 1st April, 1958 as Upper Primary School, it got Govt. Recognition with class V & VI on 1st April, 1959 and Class VII & VIII in 1962 with the construction School building of Four class rooms. Despite many hindrances the tireless efforts of well-wishers with indomitable spirit let to the development of the School. After seven years in 1969 the School was upgraded to Secondary level obedience to the Hon'ble Education Minister, WestBangal. Since then the development has not stopped for a while. In 2006 the School has been upgraded in H.S. level. The old 'KADAM BRIKSHA' planted during the 'BRIKSHA ROPON UTSAB' in 1959 is the witness of this Historical journey.
