History

It was not the talk of a tinsel town. Rather it was pretty hard for Late Durga Das Ghosh to dream about women education in such a remote village like Paikar, Birbhum back in the 90s. But he pursued his dream and started a new era for the villagers with the initiation of girls education with this institution in 1996. Being an Asst. teacher of Paikar High School, Late Durga babu lend 4 rooms in his own school to start teaching - learning as we had no adequate classrooms to continue the teaching - learning process.

This journey was continued holding the hands of Mrs. Urmila Sahu, our very first head mistress. She was assisted by three more Asst. Teacher appointed by  the Managing Committee. The year 1998 sar the sprourting of our own building with its 4 rooms for classes V-VIII. Late Durga Das Ghosh and Late Aftabuddin Mallick had donated the land in the names of Late Rakhal Chandra Ghosh and Late Din Mohammad respectively from whom the school borrowed its name. Kalika Ghosh, Suprava Ghosh and Pralay Ghosh were among the other donors. Paikar Rakhal Chandra Din Mohammad Madhyamik Balika Siksha Niketan started growing with new vigour and enthusiasm in its own building . The school got its recognition from the Govt. on 27-04-2000 w.e.f 01-05-2000 as it gets permission till class X. After the retirement of Mrs. Urmila Sahu, in 2007 the change was taken over by the new headmistress Mrs. Sanuara Begam. Under her leadership , in 2011, the school was granted with the permission of a higher secondary status though only with 6 subjects of Arts-stream. Our school continues to grow everyday with its increasing staffs and endearing students.
