History

Satpalsa High School is one of the oldest educational institutions of the block Mayureswar II . It is situated at Borodibur mauja in the district of Birbhum .From 1948 the institution is engaged in offering quality education to the students belonging to  various economic sections of the society. The local educational enthusiasts give their precious time and labour to inaugurate the institute here in the far off  village to extend the scope of education for the deprived .The most conspicuous of those great souls are Dr. Haradhan Pal, Satish Ch. Kar, Abhimunya Ghosh,Kanailal Das, Daiboki Sinha, Sudhir kr.Mondal, kuraram Mondal, Gopal ch.Mondal. The school got first recognition in the year 1955 for 2 class and in 1958 the recognition for 4 class came. In 1963 recognition for X class was achieved. In the year 2000 the school stepped in higher secondary section. In the starting years the school rarely accommodated on an average 100 to 150 students. At times there were 1600 - 1700 students getting their instructions from the institution .At present there are 1193 students studying at Satpalsa High School. In early years there were fewer infrastructural advantages now the school building assumes a fast and beautiful shape with all types of modern facilities meant for students and teachers .The mud build houses fall a prey to the terrible flood of river Mayurakshi in the previous years. Both the residents and the government bodies extended their helping hands to build brick built infrastructure.
