History

Bolpur Vivekananda Vidyapith was established on 12th January 1964 by the famous educationist & renowned social worker Late Narayan Chandra Banerjee, in order to fulfill the very need of the society - "Educating the neglected and underprivileged section" - which is the amin guideline prescribed by Swami Vivekananda. This school was born as a junior basic school and gradually upgraded to Madhyamik level, finally Higher Secondary level. The first batch of MP and HS appeared in board examination in 1969 & 2007 respectively. Since the beginning of this school it has experienced many ups and downs and successfully faced those hurdles. it is quite apparent that the students, usually admitted to this school, are 1st generation learner and have to fulfill their dream of educating themselves with minimum resources. In spite of all the limitations and hindrances the students of this school acheived mark of excellence in board examinations, sports and other extracurricular activities. Students of this school are taught by our expert teachers who are strict to the discipline as well as compassionate to their pupils. Each and every student is guided by our teachers to become a complete person, make them ready to face all difficulties in life that they could lead themselves toward excellence.
