History

Ithe year 1970 ,Dasarathi Ghosh who was a person greatly interested in education and a great donor established this school in the memory of his father Late Sri Jogendra Ghosh to ensure development of the young learner of this locality.At first,the school was approved for class (V) and (vi).Later it was approved as a junior high school (co-ed). After that with the sincere effort of thn e teachers,non teaching staff, guardians and with the help of some persons interested in education the school was upgraded as a high school in 2010.At present,the name of this school is Maheshpur Jogendra Smriti High School (co-ed).presently,in this school students,irrespective of cast,creed and religion, are taught in Bengali medium approved by west Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
