Once some rich and educated people lived in Brahmashasan ,Haripur,Raghunathpur and Harinadi etc. Haripur High School was established in 1861 on 7th September with their outstanding effort and the development of education of the childrent of these localities. At first it was started from class I-class Vi. The nearest primary Boys Primary school was also along with Haripur High School. They had neither school building nor any own land to swet up school. Mr. Purnachandra Mukherjee donated that land,where the present Haripur Boys Primary school is situated. The land was registered in the name of Haripur High School and it was handed over to them from the behalf of Haripur High School. From then the Primary school became separated and started newly with their own identity. Haripur High School had been sanctioned as Haripur Junior High School in the year 1958.Then in 1973 it was developed into madhyamik level. Haripur High School is the 3rd oldest High School in Santipur,after Santipur Municipal High School in 1954 and Bangla High School in 1958. Now V has been registered as Haripur Secondary  School ( Index no. D2-054) and enriched with enough teachers and new buildings. In the year 2014 it was sanctioned as H.S. school. The eminest  Bengali poet Jatindranath Sengupta was a resident Haripur (Santipur). The footprint of Iswarchandra Vidyasagar also made proud of Haripur High School. So the busting of these two great personalities have been set up in the school yard. The present student of the school is 1600 and there are 40 teaching staffs. The total school area is surrounding by wall and school building .Our school has a plygound of its own.
