
The then local enthusiastic learned and educated people of Choto Digha( under Kashimpur Gram Panchayet of Barasat-I Block, North 24 Parganas) collaborately set up this Madrasah as a 2-Class Junoir High Madrasah on 1st January ,1975 under West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education. This Madrasah was named after the greatest educationalist , freedom fighter,MAULANA ABUL KALAM AZAD. He was the first educational Minister in India. Upgraded as a 4-Class Junior High Madrasah in 1982 and Secondary High Madrasah in 1995 , this institution got permission to teach Higher Secondary Students under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education in 2005. it started vocational education under West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development in 2006.
