Swarnamayee Smriti Vidyalaya High School is the only secondary school in the Manikpur area under Dum Dum Municipality. The school was established on 7th January'1972 by a group of well-meaning people for the benifit of the people of this area. The school then overcame many obstacles and with the unwavering support of the parents/guardians of the area, the school was gradually upgraded to the secondary level in 1996.
