History

Nimta Jibantosh Ghosh Memorial Girls High School (HS) was established in the year 1941 with the combined effort of some enthusiasts who wanted a girls' school to be run for the spread of female education in the region of Nimta. Hence, in the memory of Sri Jibantosh Ghosh, the educational institution first spread its wings. The institution  received its recognition as a Primary School in the year 1957, as Upper Primary in 1963, as a Secondary Institution in 1973 and finally got its Higher Secondary Section in the year 2001. At present the School has classes from V to XII, with an approximate student strength of 775. The Higher Secondary Section offers both Humanities and Science subjects.
