School was established on 1956, after 8 years later of freedom. On that time there was a very renowned school in this area - which was Bongaon High School. That is why the new born school was named as "New Bongaon High School". The locality was familiared as Khairamari. Actually the whole area is a bank of River Ichhamati. Most of the inhabitants came this area from the eastern part of erstwhile Bengal. They were known as refugee.
The main reason behind establishment of the school was to spread the education among the refugee children. The school was played a great role among these kind of people, who had nothing except the urge of knowledge. The school always enlightened the ray of hope for the future.
Almost 65 years have been gone - the work is continuing. There are so many students who have signed in their life in different sectors of our society, which is the symbol of our pride and prejudice.
The school was elevated as Higher Seondary on 1999. Bengali, English, History, Geography, Political Science, Education, Environmental Studies, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics are being taught here. A useful and enriched faculty having the responsibilities to maintain the whole education system properly for both Normal and HS Section too.
