Bantika Girls’ High School was founded by Dr. Saradendu Prakash Bandhyopadhayay in the year 1967. He had a vision for the upliftment of girls by educating them. Previously being a co-ed school, the separated girls' section continued in the morning shift and the boys 'section during the day shift in the same premises. It was the dream of Dr. Bandhyopadhyay to set up a separate institution for girls of Boinchi to bring girls from orthodox families to school. After few years the boys' section was shifted to separate premises and Bantika Girls' High School received government recognition in 1968 upto ClassVIII. Subsequently, the school was upgraded and received government recognition as a Secondary School in the year 1974. It has been a long journey since then to crave for the rights of the girls of Boinchi and neighbouring villages to spread the light of education amongst them. Presently, it is a government sponsored school with Sri Pannalal Modak as the President of the School Managing Committee.
