History

This school has a long and profound history of spreading awareness and promoting women’s education in Boincheegram and surrounding area. Back in 1904 when the school was organised, all the education enthusiast families used to send their girls to this school and supported  its initiative to create a healthy culture of education among girls which in turn became instrumental for local cultural upliftment. Later the higher section of the school shifted nearby and became Binapani Girls’ High School, which has its own educational and cultural achievements. This school however kept on running in the building provided by Late Pramathanath Sinha, whom the school was named after. As the student number continued to increase, running the classes effectively in the segregated single room building proved to be difficult. So under Sarba Shiksha Mission the economic support was given for building a toilet-block, a kitchen-shade and four additional classrooms, all within the period of 2008 to 2013.
