Our Campus

This school is running in the building provided by Late Pramathanath Sinha, whom the school was named after. As the student number continued to increase, running the classes effectively in the segregated single room building proved to be difficult. So under Sarba Shiksha Mission the economic support was given for building a toilet-block, a kitchen-shade and four additional classrooms, all within the period of 2008 to 2013. Right now this school has total four toilet-blocks for students and teachers, four functional classrooms, an open classroom system, two rocking cradles for the students to play, functional kitchen with LPG assisted cooking arrangement, cook-cum-serving tools for smooth running of Mid-Day-Meal and one hand-pump for hand washing as well as toilet cleaning purposes.

Electricity in the school is being maintained by the cooperation of the teachers and the guardians. In this year 2020, class-V is introduced in this school. So, right now total student strength of the school is 162 with 4 assistant teachers and one head teacher, who is going to retire on January, 2021. At present the class wise distribution of the students is as follows, 17 in pre-primary, 35 in class-I, 24 in class-II, 32 in class-III, 34 in class-IV and 20 in class-V. With all these the school is running successfully and holds the pride of being one of the very few separately maintained girls’ primary school in West Bengal.
