History

Joresal is remote village surrounded by sal jangle. There are some other villages Sarenga, Kodalia etc.around.Most of the people of the area belong to SC,ST,OBC-B category. there are no school around 10 km. So,to spread the light of education to boy and girls of the backward jungle area,some persons interested in education of the localiuity came forward to set up a high school.Among them Late Kalindi Diasi,Ajit Kr.Ghosh,Madan Mohan Ghosh,Ram Chandra Ghosh,Kuran Chandra Pal took leading part and set up Joresaj High School in January 1970.Late Kamakshya Ghosh doneted land.Biswanath China,Manik Lal Ghosh,Manik Ch.Roy joined as teacher.The School got recognation as 2class jr.school in 1971 and 4class jr. school in 1980. The school has been running as Jr.school and upgraded as X class High School in 1999 and H.S. Level in 2016. The School celebrated its glorious Golden Jubilee in January,2020.
