History

The school started its journey since  1952 in the Primary school of Kankabati village with few students.There was team of Organisers led by Mr Bhutnath Ghosh of village KankabatiTheir moto was very clear--to bring  the children in the light of education.By the tireless endeavour the proposed school got its recognition in 1956 as 2 class(v and vi)  Jr school.Mr Ghosh donated land for the premises of its own . The villagers of Kankabati, Chakra  , karakberia,Mukha, Madhuban,Malakarpota, Chhotpagla etc.supplied building materials--bamboo,straw, labour.Gradually  lthe school developed to 4 class( v,vi,vii viii) Jr. in1961. In 1966 it  was upgraded to X class with recognition of WBBSE  and  XII class with affiliation of WBCHSE  in2004.Now the school has 4 buildings,library laboratory, play ground , 800 students,26 teachers, and 3 non-teaching emplooyees. Mr Bhutnath Ghosh is still supervising from the fore-front.
