01.01.1963     Two class status (Bankura Banga Balika Vidyalaya).

01.01.1965     Four class status (Bankura Banga Balika Vidyalaya).

01.01.1970     High School (Bankura Banga Balika Vidyalaya).

01.01.1980     School name change (Bankura Sib Sankar Uchcha Balika Vidyapith).

01.01.2000     Higher Secondary recognised (Arts).

01.01.2010     Higher Secondary with Science.

From the beginning of the year 1963 the present school was in two class and the named was Bankura Banga Balika Vidyalaya. From 1st January 1975 it becomes four class status. Again from 1st January 1970 it becomes ten class status i.e. in High School.

At that time school was running with the building of Bankura Banga Vidyalaya (Boys) in morning session. School has no own building.

In the year 1980 school was shifted at Pratap Bagan with new building and new name also, Bankura Sib Sankar Uchcha Balika Vidyapith.

After long twenty years its status increased, Institution upgraded as Higher Secondary from 1st January 2000. The first batch of Higher Secondary examined in the year 2002.
