History
The school was estiblished in the month of November,1956 by some educationally interested persons of the locality in a small land adjacent to Hutmura High School. In 1965 it become Jr. High School named Hutmura Jr. Girls' High School. It would take ten years to get X class recognition and in 1975 it become High School and changes its name as Hutmura Harimati Girls' High School.
Hard efforts of some well wishers, teachers and members of the managing committee gifted it a SC/ST Ashram Hostel that was inaugurated in the month of February,2003. As the school had a small land and the hostel acquired the maximum position of it,emancipation of school land bencom the basic need for development of school and creating a true educational enviroment.Initiative was taken in 2003. Consulting with the DPSE Chairman, local elderly persons, BLLRO office, School well wishers and others a land of 2000 sqft in front of the school complex was acquired.
The local inhabitants named Dhananjay Ojha & Ajay Ojha reponded promptly and donated a land of 1 Acre 12 decimile behind the existing school complex in name of their resprctable mother Late Malati Ojha for development of the school in 2004. The school managment thanked these benevolent donars and named this complex as " Malati Krirangan". By hard effort two lump some grant from BEUP and MPLADS had been sanctioned. The rigorous efforts and earnest involvement changed the infrastructure of the school within 2 years. In 2005 the school is upgraded as H.S. institution. In 2006 the school opened Vocational Courses under WBCVE&T first time in district alongwith 35 schools for VIII + level & X+ level . It ran 7 years successfully and changed the future of so many students of the locality.
To fillup the shortage of the teachers, students & infrastructure to increase the students' interest in Science, Sports & Games, & other activities and to create a true educational environment and proper cultural field,efforts and drives have been going on.
Emphasis on development of students skills in all aspects is the basic & main motto of the school. The teachers' earnest dedication paves the path of successful performances and interest of local people causes the revolution.
In 2005 the school celebrated its 50 years with high spirit during whole year.
Arrangement for intra school competitions, cultural activities, science based activities, social works & campaigning were run during the year.
A true blending with the community increased the interest and spirit of every body. The society got warm invitation from the school and attended the health camp arranged for them - (Blood donation camp, Pediatric camp, Eye camp, Gynecological camp, De warming camp, Health & Hygiene awareness camp for Adolescent Girls' etc.) and ,made the efforts successful. The true community linking helps the school to achieve voluntary service from the learned. Conscious people of the locality for eifferent forms of activities.
The students of this school are strong and keenly interested in games & sports. Under the regular guidance & supervision of the local coach who have been serving for the institution honestly & voluntarily the school has a successful footbal team, Vollely ball team a lot of good players, athletes who become the pride of school as well as district. Arrangement for classes on the following courses (once a week) have been started with the help of local people i.e.music, dancing, drawing, reciting, instrument playing, acting, & tailoring. The school has an active Kanyashree club named "Swapna Disha" that performs well and takes active participation to fulfill the goal. KIRAN BOURI, the face of UNICEF 2018, a student of this school has proved it by her excellent and humane performances.
Govt. project on Sanitary Napkin : URAN was launched from this school in district by the Hon'ble DM Alokesh Prasad Roy in 2018.
Participation in social campaigns for cleanliness, Health & Hygiene, Literacy, Child rights, Kanyashree programme, Safety Security, Nirmal Abhiyan, Covid 19, or any kind of disaster become regular activities of the students.
The school sincerely take part in all Govt programme, competitions and sessions as well as educational & constructive competitions of any non Govt. organisations. Participation in Science fair, Science quiz,, Science model competitions , KALA Utsav, Yuba Utsav, Sports & Games, Consumers affairs are the compulsory activities of the students.
The teachers are humane and conscious of MDM programme. Following annual MDM duty chart they perform their duties courageously and perfectly.
KYAN Classes, ICT Computer Classes, Kanyashree Classes, Classes on Consumer Affairs, Vocational courses, handicrafts, Yoga, Model making, Physical fitness, Health & Hygiene, Carrier guidance, Self defence, Social campaign, Cultural activities, Remedial classes, Library classes etc are included in teachers' daily class routine along with regular class teaching.
The school has a consumers club, Mandam Curie Eco Club, Swapna Disha Kanyashree Club, Carrier counseling hub, Safety Security monitoring committee, Visakha Committee, Cultural Committee, Magazine Committee, Games & Sports Committee, Library Committee and Saraswati Puja Committee. Other than the schol has constructed ten (10) local committee with the interested people of the locality for the betterment of the students.

The School has a well disciplined cleaned SC/ST Ashram Hostel that has a good library, Computer Lab & 10 coahing teachers. The boarders have been getting free teaching & coaching in games & sports, tailoring, drawing music, & dancing.
The school published annual Magazine " Srijani" and annual Wall Magazine "Disha" regularly and observed Book Day, Swami Vivekananda's birth day, Republic Day, Netaji Birth Day, 22se Shraban, Khudiram Bose's birth day, international mother language day, Independence day, Teachers' day, Vidyasagar's birth day, Gandhi Jayanti, Cousumer's day etc with full attention.
The school arranged for Annual School Sports & Games, School Picnic, Science Exposure Visit, Twining of Schools Pragramme, Annual Workshop on handicrafts made by the students, Annual Model Competition, Annual Prize Giving Ceremony, Saraswati Puja gleefully.
The local educationally interested people have offered so many Awards for the brilliant performance of the students.
Panchanan Parui, one of the best educationally interested persons and social workers of Howrah district in West Bengal has aslo extended his hands by awarding needy meritorious students every year.
The school has a good library and the students get the touch of its regularly through library classes.
All staff, members of the Sponsored Committee and local benevolent are trying their best to improve the quality of the students and developemt the school enviornment where maximum students are the words of a poor needy family and whose parents are unorganised laborers or small cultivators.
