History

If there is a will there is a way. People of Chandravag and sourrounding villages had a need of establishing a school for the sole purpose of development in education. With keen interest renowned people like Mahadeb Bandyopadhyay, Nilratan Bandyopadhyay, Jibondhan Mukhopadhyay, Krishnadhan Mukhopadhyay, Shankar Chattopadhyay, Panchanan Mukhopadhyay,Shital Samanta took initiative to start the school with some local girls students in the year 1920. Tarit Chattopadhyay, one of the pioneers built a building on his own land and handed over to the school authority. The primary section started in the year 1955. Since then a lot of teachers and philanthropists put effort for benediction of the school. Today Chandravag Srikrishna Primary School is considered as one of the best schools in Bagnan Block II .
