History

The School is set up at very remote village. Primary school of this village was build up since 1950 AD. The people of village were demanding to build a secondary school in their village since 1990 AD. But Govt of West Bengal was agreed to build a new set up upper primary school at primary campus in 2008. Then Sonagachi Junior High School was formed as physically. The School was recognised by WBBSE in 2009. Primarilly it was running by Guest teachers. In December,2013 the School got a permanent teacher through WBSSC. Mrs. Pinki Ghatak was that person. And the school is running by her guidance since 2013.
