Mohiary Kundu Chaudhury Institution (H. S.) is one of the oldest institutions in the district. It has passed almost 179 glorious years. The brilliance of its students has enlightened various spheres in science, literature, art all over the world. With the robust enthusiasm of the local zamindar, Jagannath Mallick the school was established in 1841. Then the name of the school was Andul H. C. English School. In 1941 the name was changed into Mohiary Kundu Chaudhury Institution. At present the total no. of students is – 1600. For the widespread fame, not only the students from surrounding locality but the students from far away villages come here for bright future. The old-fashioned school building bears a rich heritage and attracts the attention of people.
