
The Shibpur Chittaranjan Adarsha Vidyamandir for Girls was founded by Late Sishu Kumar Das in 1958, after almost a decade after India had won her independence. Late Sri Sishu Kumar Das felt the necessity of spread of education among the women for a better and developed India which led him found this school.
The first Teacher-in-Charge was Late Parul Bala Ghosh while the first Head Mistress was Mridula Das Laha.
The first Secretary of the Managing Committee was Sri Judhisthir Shau,
The school was recognized by the WBBSE as a Junior High School in 1963 and later was upgraded to High School in 1965. It has converted into a Government Sponsored School in 2013 by the Department of School Education, Government of West Bengal.
