History

South Garia Jadunath Vidyamandir – is an elite Institute belonging to P.S.-Baruipur under the district of South 24 Parganas. The Institute, named after Sri Jadunath Banerjee, a keen lover of education and the uncle of Bengal’s legendary Theatrical exponent late Durgadas Banerjee, attains the centenary year in 2014.

The school was set up during the Pre-independence days and named after the then District Magistrate- Sir Bompus as Bompus Institution. But immediately after the demise of Sri Jadunath Banerjee it had been affiliated after his name and upgraded to a high school enjoying a high status to lure students get admission here in huge number from far off places. Now again the school has been upgraded to a H.S. one and huge number of students are crowding here for admission into different stream of discipline. The school has been getting them trained with discipline and morality besides with lessons and games and sports.
