Academic Calendar

The school has introduced its own academic calendar since 15 years ago which is mostly derived from the academic schedules issued by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. All academic and non-academic programmes are done and completed in due time from session to session.

The new session begins on the 2nd day of January with ‘Book Day’ every year. The teaching- learning processes follow the calendar. The Academic Council under the guidance and supervision of the Head of the Institution work throughout the year and remain vigilant on the all academic aspects.

The teaching method of our school is characterized by a balanced combination of textual knowledge and off-the-text experience, so as to shape the pupils into complete education. This aim is sought to be achieved by, what is known as “extra-curricular activities”, thus, it virtually forms an integral part of our curriculum. Textual study is supplemented by extra-curricular activities of versatile nature, being aimed at a complete development of juvenile faculties.  Annual educational exhibitions, covering a wide range in the science and humanities streams, enrich the students’ knowledge. Teacher’s Day, Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations reinforce their organizational ability.  Wall Magazines and the School Magazines, ‘SAMIDH’, ventilate juvenile thoughts. Intra-school debate, quiz, music, recitation, drawing contests enable the children to earn laurels. Prizes from inter-school competitions also crown the dedicated efforts of the students.  Musical and dramatic programmes on the school stage flower them with plaudits from the audience & the viewers. Their interest in games and sports is testified by appreciable team performances in inter-school cricket, football, footsol and many other sports.
