History

Badamtala High School (H.S.) co-education started as a Junior High School at the year 1973 by the initiative of some educationist and well-wishers. The school is situated at K.P. Mondal Road near Charial bazar. Before establishing this school there was a girl’s school situated at the east side of our school building. But unfortunately this girl’s school had an accident. After that some educationist and well-wishers of our locality are suggested to establish this school, as there are no such school in the Charial locality at that time. There are some schools like Kalipur Boys, P.K. High School, Khariberia High School are there. But these schools are situated at very long distance from this locality. That’s why our school was first established with joint effort of our managing committee and secretary and under full support of the locality.

The morning section was started on 2nd January of 1973. At that time the secretary was Haji Sekh Saukat Ali. After few days a committee was formed. By the financial help of some educationist and well-wishers the school building is then formed properly under the guidance of the Head Master on that, Adv. Janab Nooruddin Sanfui. At the year of 1975 the school was registered in West Bengal Board of Secondary Education for the first time. On that time Janab Sekh Hannan took his charge as a Head Master of this school.

AT the year of 1986 the school took its permission for class V and VI and from 01.01 1987 class VII and VIII. At those time the school only had 294 students. As the number of students was increased the school was promoted to a Madhyamik School on 01.05.2000. On 27.07.2006 the school was finally introduce as a Higher Secondary School with ARTS stream. Now this school contains a huge number of students who are taking education from our knowledgeable teachers under the guidance of our Hon’ble Head Master Md. Akta-Ul-Iman.
