HISTORY

This High School was started later on. The acquisition of the land on which the building stands was done by some of the well - wishers of this village. They wanted a school in a proper way. It's started initially in a small building with 5 / 6 girls as a students. Gradually money was collected from the villagers (monthly) and it continued to grow. From 1.9.53 it was recognized as a Two classes Junior High School. Later in 1984 it was recognized as a Four class Junior High School that also from 1.1.84, later it was recognized and upgraded as a High school in 2000. Before 2000 much students did not get admitted here for problem in given Madhyamik examinations through other schools. But after reorganization as a X class schools students strength grew and students felt proud to give exams from their own school. Later on it became a Govt. sponsored school which it is at present.

            The name of the school is 'Kanak Basu' because it is because of her family's support that the initial start was begun. The moneytary support at the basic level paved the way and growth of this present institution.
