History

Midnapore Town School for Girls(secondary) was established in the morning shift in the building of Midnapore Town School (Boys) by the inspiration and cooperation of some respected person interested in girls education and the then authority of Midnapore Town School (Boys),Midnapore Municipality and Paschim Medinipur district education department on 6th Jnuary,1967.In 1996,Midnapore Town School for Girls had been transferred to a new school building campus at Nutanbazar by the cooperation of Midnapore Municipality,Paschim Medinipur,Education department.Honourable Shri Indrajit Gupta,M.P of Midnapore donated money to construct first floor of the school building.

Moreover local well wishers of the school tried their best for the development of the school. As our new school campus is situated in the outskirts of Midnapore town at Nutanbazar, most of the students come from the educationally backward and poverty striken of minority class (Muslims) and S.C and S.T of the town and adjacent villages i.e first learner generation. But M.C of the school, well wishers of the school, teaching and non teaching staff of the school are trying their best for the all round development of the students of the school in games, sports and final examination.

I have taken the charge of headmistress on 12th January,2000.In 2013,2015,2016 our honourable local MLA Shri Mrigendranath Maity from his BEUP fund offered financial help for construction of the building.

Our madhyamik school has been upgraded to higher secondary school for 2017-2018 session. In 6th and 7th January,2017 golden jubilee celebration (50 years) was celebrated with grand success. All the past and present teaching and non teaching staff and well wishers of the school were present in this auspicious occasion.

Students of the institution are interested in games and sports but their is no playground in our school.

We can assume that if guardians of upper iddle class and lower middle class send their wards to our school,we will try our best to uplift the all round development of the students and the school even if it is situated in the outskirts of the town.
