History

History of Domohani Kelejora High School (H.S.) :-

The School was established in 1938 at Kelejora Village. After then it was shifted to the present address. Present land was donated by all Roy family of Binod Danga &Kelejora Village. The founder stone was laid  by Education in charge English man Mr.G.A.Karvar, Mr.Dibakar  Roy (1st secy), Mr.Krishnapada Das (1st H.M), Mr.Radharaman Roy , Mr.Troilakshamohan Ghosh,Mr.Sachinandan ROY ,Mr.Bidhubhusan Roy, Mr.Nityananda Dutta, Mr.  Prafulla ch.Das, Mr. Gobardhan Maji were the first member of the M.C.of the School.

The School was recognized as High School in 1940 as per memo no S/268/Pro.926 dt.15.07.1940 as issued by Hon’ble Register, University of Calcutta w.e.f f. 05.07.1940. After independence, the School was recognized as High School in 1953 by the Board of Secondary Education, West Bengal as per memo no.2838G/042-212/112 dt. Calcutta 05.02.1953. The School was upgraded to XI School with Humanities course w.e.f .f 01.01.1967.vide memo no 1297(500/1SC/S(III) Dt.07.04.1967. But at the time of          introduction of class XII in Higher Secondary, the School became High School in 1974.

The School was recognized for imparting Higher Secondary Education in General stream courses with boys w.e.f.2012-2013 session as per memo no DS (A) SD/0169/RECOG/12 DT. 15.05.2012. Finally it was converted as a Govt .Sponsored High School in the year 2014,vide W.B.S.E.D.memo no. 15002/RMSA/SL/5S-264/12 Dt. 31.01.2014.

The School came under Grant in Aid w. e. f. 01.03.1954 vide memo no. 42/79/(II)-839 dt. 06.09.1955 & under Salary Deficit Scheme W.e.f. 05.01.1972 vide memo no. 343-EDN-(S) dt. Calcutta, 03.03.1973.
