History

Ukhra Nehru Vidyapith has witnessed multidimensional significant since it's foundation as High School to reach the current status Higher Secondary School in the industrial area of Pashim Bardhman in West Bengal.

This school was established in 1965.Late Sri Balraam Dey a multi faced personality of this area played a significant role in its foundation.Hes has not only donated his land for the setting of this school but he has also remained fully commited by giving his rightfull advice for the development of the school since the estabishment of this school till his death.He was founding president of the school.

Sri Ramji Pandey who started his as the founder Headmaster of this school contributed outstandingly to lead this school to its present status by taking cooperation from social activists , political leaders and gaurdians with his indomitable courage,sprit,sincerity and vision.

This school had to face dearth of having basic facility since its stablishment in the mid 1960s . There was not even proper sitting arrangement either for the students or the teachers.In addition to that , the situation of the society was filled with so many challenges . Under those conditions Sri Ramji Pandey , the then founder of the school  used his decisive ability and followed the guidence of Late Sri Balram Dey ,the founder president of the managing committee to control those challenges with utmost efficiency and successfully manage to earn a good name for the school not only in this area but also in the whole district of Bardhman.   

The school which got established in 1965 earned the junior high school recognisiton on 1/1/1966.The school got upgraded as High School on 29th september 1984 and teaching of the class 9 of the school got started in 1985 . The School got the recognition of Higher Secondary School on 14th June 2002.

Sri Rmji Pandey got retired  on 31st January,2004. After that Sri Kamal Deo Pandey the senior most teacher of the school got the responsibility as the TIC of the school . The school got its recognition as Govt sponsered school on 3rd September 2013.

Thereafter Sri Mnaoj Kumar Bharti took charge as the Headmaster of the school on 5th August 2014. Hes has been doing his duty with efficiency,sciencierty and dedication for the development of the school since then. It was a great moment of joy for thr school when his far-sightedness and persistent endavour made it possible to obtain the recognition of co-education for higher secondary section/class in September 2017

I am extremly proud and happy to present before you the history of the school on the 54th foundation day of the school . I hope this school will keep on progressing towars the path of development of education .
