History

Gallons of water have streamed down the Ganga since 1958, when the seed of the present Asansol Arunoday High School(H.S.) sprouted on the eastern fringe of Asansol known Domohani Railway Colony as the only educational institution. Later recognition came from the West Bengal  Board of Secondary Education in the year 1965. Being inspired by the founder and visionary Late Brihaspati Singh and Late Anandi Nath Mukherjee, the Railway employees and people leaving in the adjoining areas started sending their kids to the institution.

The mere toddler of 1958, over the years have acquired firm steps and proved itself in the area of education in the entire Asansol Sub-division. Beginning with recognition upto Class VI IN 1965 it was upgraded to H.S. Arts & Science stream in the year 2013.

With its well equipped science Laboratories, leafy sheds and greeneries in a wide compound, airy and spacious classrooms, state of the art computer labs and a digital classroom supported by an enriched faculty can surely boast of the quality education to students.
