
History of School In 1942, when Freedom Movement was on the rife some sensible people of Santa village came forward to enlighten the children of poor marginal life and their collective effort led to the foundation of a primary school that gradually rose to class V and VI standard in 1954 and 1955. Kalipada Roy, an enthusiastic educationist joined the school whose devotion and dedication brought diverse prospect. He used to convince the innocent, ignorant people about the necessity of education and motivated them to get their sons and daughters to get admitted. Due to ceaseless struggle of a united folk the school was finally affiliated to the WBBSE in 1966. Santa High School is now a heritage institution of the Subdivision.
