The school is a Co-educational Higher Secondary Govt. Sponsored school. The school was established in 1949 and it's upgraded to Madhyamik school in 1984 by West Bengal Broad of Secondary Education. After that the school was upgraded to recognized Higher Secondary school in 2012-2013 academic session by West Bengal council of higher secondary education.
