Swami Vivekananda said, “a teacher must be dedicated to his profession and teach with devotion and purity of mind and heart.” Although I could not comprehend the sentence in the depths of my mind as a whole, I have engaged myself in the teaching profession by realizing only a particle. At first, I entered in my career as an Assistant Teacher. Later, I was appointed as the H.M. of Joykrishnapur High School on 28/04/2004. The school was founded in 1948. At that time teaching started in the school from V to VI class only. Then in 1950, the school got permission from the state government to teach VII & VIII classes. In 1965, the school was identified as a Secondary school. Most recently, in 2000 our school debuted itself as a Higher Secondary school with some subjects.
Since joining, my working life has gone through various problems in the initial stage. But, I sincerely believed that my work life would be successful if I could overcome the problem and form the character of the students. Because, without taking people from darkness to light, the country and the nation will never be able to move forward. So, after overcoming all the problems, today I have completely immersed myself in the educational service. Gandhiji, the father of the nation, used to say that “the end of all education should surely be service.” So with my goodwill, the tireless efforts of the Managing Committee, and the cooperation of the entire teaching and non-teaching staff, I have been able to gradually change the structure of the school, reduce the number of dropouts, bring Nirmal Vidyalaya, Science Model Exhibitions and other prizes. I hope that I will be able to hold on to this effort in the coming days with the love of all.
