The name of the school is Matiari Girls' Academy High . The school is at thevillage Matiari under the Faridpur Gram Panchayet in Kaliganj block inNadia (Pin 741153) . The school was established in 1970 with the help and initiative of the local villagers . It was upgraded as a Madhyamik Vidyapith(10 class School , Under W.B.B.S.E. index no - D1-147) and later as a Hifgher Secondary School in 2014. (School Institution code W.B.C.H.S.E. 12339).Now it's a three storied building with 1013 students. The President and Secretary of the government sponsored committee is Sri Tushar Kanti Palit and Smt. Anjana Nag ( Headmistress )respectively . Members of the committee are Sri Pradip Kumal Pal , Sri Sudarsan Pramanick as Guardian representive . Smt. Putul Mondal , Smt. Moumita Sarkar and Smt. Pinki Chs=akrabortty as Teaching staff representative and Smt. Shyamali Barman as Non- teaching staff representative . There are 12 permanent assistant teachers in this school, number of para teachers are 10.The school has one clerk and one group 'D' staff. Two permanent assistant teachers hold the PG qualification and rest of the permanent teachers are qualified as Pass Graduate . Academic qualification of all the para teachers are pass graduate. The school has no playground of its own .All the government schemes like Mid-day-meal ,Shiksharee, Kanyasree ,Sabuj sathi  are being implemented properly and successfully . The students of SC, ST,OBC andMinority communities are benefitted properly. The got the Nirmal Vidyalaya Award in 2015. All thecultural programs and activities are observed with due importance throughout the year. The school celebrated proudly the Golden Jubilee (50th Year) with great solemnity grandeur in this year.
