Bagati Ramgopal Ghosh High (HS) School, formerly Bagati High English School, is one of the oldest institution in West Bengal. The name of the school is associated with Derozian Babu Ramgopal Ghosh, the member of Young Bengal of Henry Louis Vivian Derozio . This eminent personality set up the school in 1853 in the rural place of Bagati, a village in Hooghly. The school became Bagati Ramgopal Ghosh High School since 1943 and it was registered under the Registration Act of Calcutta University in 1948. So at present this institution has covered more than 160 golden years after a number of crisis. A large number of students have passed from this institution. It is the only Co Ed. institution in this area where three streams Science, Commerce and Arts are taught. NCC is another feather of our institution. We have excellent academic faculty and equipped laboratories for both Science and Arts. We have opened many subjects in our HS Section for the benefit of our students. Our aim is all round development of the students and quality education. We have made a friendly atmosphere and stress free environment in our institution. We have got many awards in every sphere like Nirmal Vidyalaya Putsskar, YPC division champion, Subrata Mukherjee cup subdivision champion, Kannyashri award etc. We are really proud of our school.
