I am very delighted to convey my warm greetings to all the members of Managing Committee ,Teachers ,Staff and students of the prestigious Salkia Shree Satyanarayan Madhav Mishra Vidyalaya , Howrah , with a sense of pride. I am very elated and enthusiastic to assume office of H.O.I of S.S.M.M.Vidyalaya.It is the first recognised Hindi Medium school  in the district of Howrah ,West Bengal.

Education is not merely attending school or college,securing degrees or even acquiring knowledge. I am of the opinion that it is the most effective tool for nurturing character and moral values.In this context what Swami Vivekananda once said is quite relevant even today.

"Education is not the amount of information that we put into our brain and runs riot there, undigested all our life.We must have life- building ,man-making, character-making,assimilation of ideas.If you have assimilated five ideas and made them your life and character , you have more education than any man who has got by heart whole library."

I would like to focus on consolidation,expansion and diversification with the following key thrust areas:

(1)Strengthening S.S.M.M.Vidyalaya to the utmost level in the district.

 (2)To make Vidyalaya responsible to ever changing social needs.

(3)Creating a healthier environment for study and imparting education.

(4)Teaching enhancement programme for teachers to adopt new methods and teaching aids.

(5)Improving physical infrastructure in administrative and academic process.
