DumDum Road Govt Sponsored School is an integrated govt sponsored school for girls only. It was established on 2nd January 1962. It comprises of classes Pre-primary to XII. It is situated in the heart of Dumdum and is just 5 minutes walk from DumDum Railway and Metro station. It is situated on Dumdum Road, Chanapatty bus stop and is under the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Ward IV .

Dum Dum Road Govt. Sponsored is an integrated govt. sponsored school popularly known as DumDum C.I.T. Girls' School by the locals. Our school stands upright as the only girls' school at present in ward IV of Kolkata Municipal Corporation with 1650 students and 60 teaching and non-teaching staffs. We have celebrated our golden jubilee with great pomp and grandeur in 2012. We are a school with difference and we value individualism, creativity and innovation and strive to nurture them in our students. We believe that our students will be groomed to become confident, articulate and enlightened young citizens with strong values - ready to step into global society with dignity honour and integrity.
