Overview
The history of the Ballygunge Govt.High School dates back to circa 1908 when the David Hare Training college was established at 115 ,Albert Building at College Street. Since it was a leased accommodation Mr.W.E.Griffith M.A(Oxon),the first Principal of the college took an initiative to transfer the college to South Kolkata where it could be built and expanded on a larger campus.
