Managing Committee

A semi-urban but green populous village, Andul- Mouri, is one of the very few oldest villages of the district Howrah, West Bengal, India. Except a limited section of the villagers the inhabitants are mostly daily wagers , small and marginal businessman and commuters employed in Kolkata and its surroundings.

This oldest village has been fortunate to be endowed with one of the few top ranking schools of Howrah district – GRAMYA HITAKARI GIRLS’ SCHOOL (H.S). In a semi urban resource poor and disadvantaged situation since 1921, this school has been serving the cause of education. Over the last ninety nine years it has imparted both academic and non academic education to a large number of rural pupils at Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary levels. Remarkable success of this institution is owed to the dedications of its teachers and the intimate involvement of the community. The essential revenue expenses of the school is now funded by the State Govt, while the capital expenses are mostly funded from the donations of the villagers , other good hearted people and notable organizations.

To fulfil this motto we have centred round GRAMYA HITAKARI GIRLS’ SCHOOL (H.S) and begun from that point which will certain
