Back in seventies , some local educated youth , a group of friends, decided to setup a School specially within the village Chandipur , surrounding the temple of Maa Tara . There was none at that time and most of  the downtrodden populace suffered due to lack of a Junior or High School ` in the vicinity` . The particular piece of land on which the school is presently situated ( alongwith some other pieces of scattered areas , owned by 'Taramata Sabayet Sangha' and donated by them in the name  of 'Taratirtha Vidyamandir' ) in a very precious 23 decimals of land adjacent to the sacred 'Jibat Kundu' . The School now may boast of an infrastructure of three storied building with all the facilities . However due to pressure of urbanization and cost of land at such a premier location , a playground in true sense is lacking.
